2nd-4th Grade "Mini Overnight" Camp

Since 1958, Camp Tuttle has provided a safe place for spiritual, environmental, social, and personal transformation. Campers and counselors work to create a safe place to challenge comfort zones, societal norms, thinking patterns, and understanding of the life and world around them. Our Camp experiences are for youth rising grades 2-12 grade. Through this work, we provide abundant opportunities to connect with self, others, nature, and the Divine. Mountain peaks and rushing rivers root us deeply to God and call for action in protecting, sustaining, and nurturing the creation for which we are responsible. Rising 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders will join us for a three night camp to experience a taste of Camp Tuttle. This may be your first time at camp! You’re going to love the games, activities, food, music, making new friends, bunking with your cabin mates, and so much more! Parents are welcome to join us for a closing family dinner on the 31st at 7:00pm! Learn more at camptuttle.org! Save your kiddo's spot by registering directly using the following link: https://camptuttle.campbrainregistration.com/

Family Camp

Bring the whole family for a weekend at Camp Tuttle! Each family (or chosen family) will share one of our cozy cabins and have access to shared bathroom facilities and heated showers. Join us for days packed with classic camp activities facilitated by experienced camp counselors or choose your own adventure in the surrounding canyon area. Enjoy meals from our fabulous professional chefs and sing your favorite songs by the campfire! Family camp offers a great way to introduce young campers to life at camp for the first time in hopes they’ll be ready to join us on their own next summer.

Monstrous: Being The Monstrous Other

Art Access is proud to present “Monstrous: Being The Monstrous Other” Exhibition and Workshop by Lewis Figun Westbrook. The show will run August 16 - September 12 at Art Access’ gallery, located at 230 S. 500 W., Suite 110, Salt Lake City, UT - Located in the Artspace City Center Building. Exhibition Hours: Tuesdays 1-6pm, Wednesdays 9-2pm, Thursdays 1-6pm. There will be an opening reception on August 16 from 6-8pm, as part of Salt Lake Gallery Stroll. @gallerystroll On Saturday, August 17 from 2-4pm at Art Access’ gallery, Lewis Figun Westbrook will lead a zine workshop. The workshop will cover a brief history and the significance of zines (self produced booklets about any range of topics), and how to make them, including folding techniques and prompts. Lewis will also be talking about their work and process as a queer artist with a disability. The exhibition and workshop are free to the public. Masks are required for these events. "Monstrous” is a rejection of social norms, a show that finds the fear behind ‘othering’ and does not hide from it. In the artist’s own words: What is my gender? Other. Sexuality? Other. Ethnicity? Other. Disability? Other. This loose fit, similar to Queer represents me better than any of the predetermined categories spread out in front of me. As you move through this show, I challenge you to find the hope and love in things previously assigned dangerous and disgusting. Question your reaction to each and every one. Here I am, a monster, my skin peeled back. Here I am, an ‘other’, smiling at a horrible pun. Here I am, a predator, just trying to protect my friends. Remind me, what is scary about us monsters? Lewis Figun Westbrook (all pronouns/no genders) is a queer writer of too many genres and artist of too many things. He is currently published in Love Gone Wrong, a horror anthology, and many self produced zines. Find them on most social media @lewisrllw
