Spy Hop's First Backyard Film Bash at Smith's Ballpark

September 19th, 2026 at 3 p.m.

Smith's Ballpark, 77 W 1300 S St, Salt Lake City, UT 84115

This community celebration will feature a national short film competition, live music performances, media arts showcases, art vendors, food, and more. Still accepting film submissions. Selected films will be screened at the Backyard Film Bash in Salt Lake City—outdoors, together, and on the big screen. The event features a live jury and cash prizes, with awards including Best Films - First, Second, and Third place, plus an Audience Favorite and Youth-focused award. 
Over $20,000 will be awarded, with the first-place film taking home $10,000.
