Living Traditions Festival Day 1

Gates open 5pm today. Produced by the Salt Lake City Arts Council in partnership with the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, the Living Traditions Festival is a three-day multicultural festival. The Festival supports the preservation of culturally diverse traditions, perspectives, and communities through the presentation of traditional music, dance, crafts, food, and more. We aim to facilitate understanding and belonging amongst communities through varied Utah-based programming and partnerships.

Pamyua is an Alaska-based performance group dedicated to preserving and sharing Inuit traditions, history, and music. With their unique blend of Inuit soul and tribal funk, Pamyua is bringing the music and culture of Indigenous people to new audiences.

The Brazuca Band have been making Brazilian music in Utah for 6 years, including 3 years with the Living Traditions Festival. This year’s performance features a high-voltage celebration of Brazilian rhythm, color, & grooves.
