Digital Art: Intermediate Procreate (Ages 12-17)

Let’s take our digital skills to the next level and combine media to create artwork that’s truly one-of-a-kind! Procreate is a powerful yet playful digital art app for iPad that expands opportunities for illustration, animation, and creative collage. In this camp, students will discover tips and techniques to help transform their ideas into vibrant, one-of-a-kind digital artworks they can even print and share. Throughout the week, students will learn how to create complex illustrations by combining traditional and digital media. They will also have the chance to practice designing more elaborate animated images. Camp projects will include illustrating an original t-shirt design, learning to mix media by layering hand-made textures in digital collage, and adding elements of movement to complex illustrations. The creative possibilities for Procreate artists are endless! Visual Art Institute has iPads and Apple Pencils available for student use during camp days. If your student has their own iPad and Apple Pencil and would like to bring it, they are welcome to. Please let your student know that there will be no internet browsing allowed during camp, and any required reference photos will be provided by the teacher. Fisher Art Market

Artists supporting artists in a community space. Fisher Art Market originated from artists in our community grabbing a beer at Fisher Brewing before and after markets. The Fisher Brewery folks would stop by the table and check in on how everyone was doing and ask what brought them to Fisher that day. Having just come from an art market, the artists would enthusiastically share about their day. Being a community-oriented business, Fisher Brewing asked if the artists would ever be interested in hosting a market at Fisher so here we are!

6 PM on the second Wednesday April - September. 21 + event with valid ID.
