"We focus on those family values where students learn how to build relationships and compassion for others, especially those who are not of their own Heritage. The value of goal-setting and achieving those goals is highly focused and being able to persevere through struggles to build stamina, grit and determination is a priority. Providing experiences outside of the classroom allows students to become practitioners of their own learning and connect the relevance of their lessons."

Alisi Fihaki, President and Destinee Tui, Vice President of Pacific Islanders Student Association (PISA) at the University of Utah, share about the recent impacts of Anti DEI HB 261.
"PISA seeks to provide a space for its members to articulate their experiences and share their individual cultures with each other and the larger University and community populations. This in turn, will serve as an avenue to promote and establish cultural solidarity, leadership, diversity, and respect."
