Get More Local, More Vocal with Tonight's Guests

Tonight's homegrown music: Unpaid Sandwich

A multi-instrumentalist, Unpaid Sandwich is just one of many homegrown acts you will see at this year's Busker Fest. Find out what his origin story has to do with his Dad's old PlayStation handle.

Name that Grassroots Activist!

RadioACTive's Connor Estes debuts a new show intro to start tonight's show. The first person to correctly identify the speaker of our new featured soundbites gets a RadioACTive T-shirt. Just email radioactive@krcl.org and tell us who said:

  • "I am the foot soldier for the Great Salt Lake. I am working tooth and nail for the lake."

  • "I know the community can make impact better than government can. Enough of me just being mad about it. This shows I'm going to do something about it. So this is my doing something about it."

  • "Buy local flowers, support local farmers, buy local food. There's a lot of amazing opportunities in Salt Lake to support local agriculture."

  • "Art isn't threatened by AI. We don't have an AI problem; we have a capitalism problem. People are always going to want to paint."

Classroom Craig for the Win

RA's Connor Estes talks with beat maker Classroom Craig about Avocado, the track he submitted and is now part of the show's new nightly intro. He is a songwriter, producer, beatmaker, and picture taker.
