Asha Pruitt joined the KRCL RadioACTive team as a producer in October 2025. She is also the Managing Editor at SLUG Magazine, where she is proud to lead a team of contributors in creating a monthly print issue with roots in the ‘90s Utah punk scene. 

Asha grew up in Salt Lake City and first appeared on RadioACTive in 2018 as the director of March for Our Lives Utah. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2023 with a BA in Global Studies, and her work spans from in-depth reporting and cultural criticism to research on international politics. 

Asha is passionate about multimedia storytelling and amplifying the many vibrant communities of Salt Lake City. When she’s not writing or editing, she’s crocheting, bouldering or going to a show at Kilby Court.
