‘Mornings on KRCL’ will be hosted by five familiar favorites. Hear Shannalee on Mondays, Matt Lovejoy joins Tuesday mornings, Eric P. Nelson hosts Wednesdays, Courtney Blair takes over Thursdays, and Ma Black leads Fridays. Morning listeners will still hear the same great mix of music and diverse artists they've come to expect each weekday, including the popular feature “These Three Songs” at 7:20am. The new lineup will blend in their own unique personalities and special highlights each weekday morning from 7am-10am.
Tune in Nomad Radio the progression of all things rock. From the early 2000s, when punk became more melodic (Death by Stereo, 1208), two step hardcore blended with more punk influences (Comeback Kid, Stick to Your Guns), indie/alternative bands were popping up like wild flowers (Kevin Devine, Manchester Orchestra), metalcore/screamo became a thing (Scary kids scaring kids, Tides of Man) and more progressive/experimental rock bands began taking stage including Thrice, La Dispute, OBrother, No knife and more. Saturday Sagebrush Serenade has aired on KRCL since its inception in 1979. Take a ride down the old sagebrush trail as Host John Florence takes you on a ride in his musical buckboard. You'll hear rare and classic cuts from the Grateful Dead, Bruce Springsteen and Joni Mitchell. Visit the John Prine Corner at 10am, Mediate for world peace at noon followed Hot Tuna for lunch. It's classic rock and roll at its best with stories that can only be told by John.
Sunday Sage has been cornerstone of KRCL since the beginning days of the station. Phil and Lori play a mix of acoustic, folk, country, country-rock, rock 'n roll, bluegrass and the occasional surprise from many different genres. Every other Sunday features the Alphabet Stew - A full 3 hours dedicated to a specific letter of the alphabet, listening to songs, artists, albums and themes beginning with that letter.
From punk rock, jazz, to hip hop. You never know what you’ll find, but you can always expect to hear some Super Sounds.
On Thursday Night Psych explore the evolution and expansion of Psychedelic music. Starting with the far out sounds of the psychedelic 60's, space rock of the 70's, the Paisley Underground and Gothic psych of the 80's, the Shoegaze movement of the 90's and the Neo Psychedelic Renaissance of the last 15 years. It's a big ol paisley umbrella that fits a lot of different styles and bands. Tune in and prepare to have your mind blown maaaan!
