, 6:00 p.m. atSheJumps: "We welcome all women and girls (transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people and other gender diverse participants of all skill levels to participate in this event (ages 18+). We will meet at the Bad Apple Trailhead and ride Bob's Basin. We aim to have groups of various levels departing from the trailhead at 6:00 p.m., but there will be plenty of options to regroup. This ride will be customizable based on how you're feeling - do as many or as few laps as you wish. We'll take it relatively easy, making sure to stay hydrated in the heat, and keep the group together! Note, this is a casual meet-up ride and is not guided. Harris in conversation with Summer-Rayn Barrett and Nate Byrd about the most consequential development in Mormon history since the end of polygamy. It's the subject of his new book, Second-Class Saints: Black Mormons and the Struggle for Racial Equality (Oxford University Press, 2024)."

38th National Veterans Golden Age Games, Salt Lake City. "The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System and National Veterans Golden Age Games are looking for nearly 2,000 volunteers to give back to our Veterans as they go for the gold in Salt Lake this summer. Nearly 1,100 Veterans from across the country will descend on Salt Lake from August 24-29 for the 38th National Veterans Golden Age Games. The Golden Age Games serve Veterans 55 and older who receive care at VA medical centers. We are looking for volunteers of all ages. The only restrictions are ages 5-13 must be accompanied by a parent and 14-17 must have parental permission." To register to volunteer, click here.
