Homegrown music from SLC's own Doomcupcake, which describes itself as "post-pop tart metal."

Tactile experiences will reconnect visitors with the carefree joy of their early years, encourage playful exploration, and ignite curiosity.  In a world increasingly dominated by digital technology, this exhibit aims to transport visitors back to a simpler time, when tangible objects and activities brought us joy and wonder. Wed., Aug. 28, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., meet the artists and enjoy refreshments, classic 90s hits, and a friendship bracelet-making station. Feel free to dress in your favorite 90s trend!"

Salt Lake Speaks brings its Slam Poetry Exhibitionback to the Grand Lobby of the Eccles Theater next month. RadioACTive gets a sneak peek with Cami Munk and poets Melissa Salguero, Youri Joseph, and Holton Hennrich.

Salt Lake Speaks is a FREE night of slam poetry from 10 local artists that you simply can’t miss. These local poets will leave you breathless as they speak their truths and celebrate the power of the spoken word."

Today marks the start of YWCA Utah’s annual Racial Justice Challenge. RadioACTive talks about it with Saundra Stokes, Chief Mission Impact Officer and Chief of Staff at YWCA Utah.

"Join YWCA Utah for 21 days of content and dedicate time and space to build more effective social justice habits, particularly those dealing with issues of race, power, privilege, and leadership. The Challenge works to foster personal reflection, encourage social responsibility, and motivate participants to identify and act on ways to dismantle racism and other forms of discrimination.
