  • May 21: No Detention Centers No Housing Cuts Rally | 11:30A-12P @ Grand America Hotel, 500 S Main St, SLC. Crossroads Urban Center's Bill Tibbitts explains why and how you can join CUC's FACE Hunger and Homelessness group as they "protest Trump Administration policies that criminalize homelessness before a speech by his homeless guru, Robert Marbut, at the Grand America Hotel."

  • June 1: Application deadline for We Hold These Truths | 11:59 PM tonight @ cdeautah.org/sign-up. Masha Shukovich of the Center for Documentary Expression and Art (CDEA) breaks down this unique workshop for youths (ages 13-18), which comes with up to 3 University of Utah elective credits and up to a $200 stipend (both upon completion).

    • June 8 – July 3: We Hold These Truths Workshop I M-TH, 10a-1p, with final performance July 3, all @ Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W 3100 S, WVC. WHTT will explore founding documents like the Declaration of Independence; writings by Tom Paine, Hector St. John de Crèvecœur, Fredrick Douglas, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, Jr., et al, and poetry from Walt Whitman to Ada Limón to discover perspectives on American identity that shape our lives and our national ethos. Guides: Samantha (Sam) Briggs, Assistant Professor at the U of U Department of Theater, and poets/writers Dr. David Gonzalez, Dr. Masha Shukovich, and J.R. Martinez.

  • Rocky Mountain Community Radio (RMCR) is a coalition of 21 non-commercial radio stations in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, which has been collaborating for more than 40years. RMCR member stations collaborate to produce news reports and stories that connect our communities, with the roots of our collaborative efforts running deep. The coalition was first formed in the late 1980s to share content among independent, community radio stations all throughout the Western Slope.
