Thursday, Oct. 23: This week’s Voices Amplified Student Takeover of RadioACTive brings you stories from emerging journalists at the University of Utah in partnership with Amplify Utah. Host Alina Walker and her team explore protest coverage from D.C., conflict reporting in Ukraine, KRCL’s own community history, and the curious peace symbol known as the Portland Frog.

  • Oct. 25: U of U VS CU Boulder @ Rice Eccles Stadium | 8:15 PM kickoff 

  • Oct. 25: Carnival and Trunk or Treat | 2-5 PM @ Kearns St. Ann School, 430 E 2100 S, South Salt Lake. All funds raised will go to the school, and food will be available for purchase, along with plenty of free candy. 

  • Oct. 25: Salt Lake Community Bail Fund Fall Fright | 4-7 PM @ Blue Gene's, 239 S 500 E, SLC. Fun with frighteningly delightful cocktails, creative costumes, and joyous screams! This year’s event features thrilling bingo games with spellbinding prizes, a silent auction filled with enchanting items from local businesses and artists, and fabulous drag performances by Veronika DaVil.
