RadioACTive the Talanoa Way, with Stephanie Mahina. Tune in as she talk story with Charlene Lui and Sui Lange Panoke of Utah's Pasifika leaders. Plus, attendees share from the Festival of Pacific Island Arts and Culture recently held in Hawai'i! We will also check in with local filmmakers at Leicester Productions.

Rallies + Resources:

Leicester Productions, Corey and Parker Leicester of local non-profit designed to support local filmmakers and journalists by giving filmmakers a space to share their voices. They're joined by student Filmmaker Alex Stephens with a career background in social services, mainly working with people at risk or experiencing homelessness, Alex has made a shift to pursue his dream of filmmaking.Currently a film student at SLCC, Alex hopes to make films which center on issues of social justice.

Makatogialiu Kioa, FESTPAC Representitive for Tonga and attendees Jake Fitisemanu, West Valley City District 4 Councilmember and Richard (Lisiate) Wolfgramm, VP of  The Mana Academy stop by to debrief on the 13th FESTPAC 2024 held on the island of O'ahu, Hawai'i.

"The inaugural Festival of Pacific Art and Culture took place in 1972 in Suva, Fiji. Over the years, FestPAC has evolved and grown in stature, becoming a highly anticipated event for both Pacific Islanders and visitors from around the world. The festival has not only preserved traditional arts and culture but has also served as a platform for contemporary Pacific Island artists to express their creativity and address contemporary issues." 
"Approximately 27 Pacific Island nations confirmed to attend the 13th FestPAC are American Samoa, Australia, Cook Islands, Easter Island (Rapa Nui), Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Hawai'i, Kiribati, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue, etc..."
