"RECLAMATION seeks to create a socially-conscious space to reflect on US imperialistic history while offering counter-narratives that center marginalized people and stories. The exhibition’s three artists work to reclaim identity – through memory, personal history, and community activism – and to align contemporary diasporic experience with pressing socio-cultural issues."
Exhibition Viewing Hours: Thur – Sat, 10A-6P; Sun, 12-4P.
Ana Valdemoros of Argentina's Best Empanadas joins us to celebrate empanadas, which the community will celebrate at the 6th Annual Empanada Fest in April. This year sees the fest move to a bigger location, with an invitation to all cultures to contribute their version of a pastry filled with sweet or savory fillings.
The name empanada comes from the Spanish verb empanar, meaning "to wrap in bread."
How many countries can you name with something similar? And no, a Danish does not count. Or does it?!
