Liz Pitts of the Utah Lgbtq+ Chamber of Commerce, which is getting ready for one of the best (and queerest) food festivals of the spring.
Mormon Women for Ethical Government returns for an on-air quilting bee to Quilt the Constitution. Guests include Nancy Sylvester, Briawna Hugh and Laura Eyi.
SQUARE SAYS WHAT: Join us tonight (6-7p) on KRCL's Instagram Live to suggest something you'd like on a square. In partnership with Women Building Peace, MWEG will deliver the quilts to Utah's Congressional Delegation in Washington, D.C., next week.
May 6: Women Building Peace National Quilt-in, 10a-4p in the vicinity of the National Mall and U.S. Capitol building. "The exact location and details of this event will be shared the day before the event with those who have completed registration. "For the last month, we have invited women from across the country to write messages to their congressional leaders. Their voices have been written onto quilt squares and sewn into quilts as a plea for their representatives and senators to uphold our Constitution. Through this peaceful protest and creative advocacy, we hope to amplify the voices of women everywhere. At this culminating quilting event, we will be displaying the quilts sewn by women from various states, as well as completing additional quilts before their delivery. Come and read the messages on these quilts and participate in writing your own quilt square, helping to tie a quilt, or coloring your own paper quilt square. In accordance with our permit, the exact location of this event is not publicly advertised. Please register to receive more information."
Singer-songwriter Jim Bone live in the studio!
After a merger this weekend, two third parties are now one. RadioACTive's Roundtable Tuesday meets leaders of the new Forward Party of Utah:
