Tuesday, May 19: Marcus Garvey said, 'A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.' Join Roundtable Tuesday to meet local ethnomusicologist Andrew Murphy, whose founded A Tree With Roots Music to document the sounds of of world music. Plus, Project Rainbow's Pride Flag Campaign, and JUST ADDED: America250: Sharing Stories About America, a symposium reflecting on constitutional values and the Rule of Law.

  • May 21: America250: Sharing Stories About America | 8:30a-1:00p @ The Grand America Hotel, Salt Lake City. Utah State Bar President Kim Cordova and Executive Director Elizabeth Wright stop by to talk about the event, the importance of the rule of law, and the separation of powers.

  • May 26: WORLD MUSIC Documentary Films | 6:30 p.m. at Salt Lake City Public Library Auditorium, 210 E 400 S, SLC. Roundtable Tuesday talks with local ethnomusicologist Andrew Murphy, whose nonprofit, A Tree With Roots Music, has been documenting the sounds of Trinidad & Tobago, the Cajun music of Louisiana, traditions in Nepalese music, and the music of the Solomon Islands.
