It's National Poetry Month, and RJ is bringing Utah Slam Poetry with him. Plus, Marv Hamilton live, Protect Utah Workers update, and music therapy as a tool for mental health and well-being.

  • AFT Utah president Brad Asay reports on today's delivery of signature packets to the Utah Elections Office to place a repeal of HB 267 before voters this fall. The deadline was 5:00 p.m. today.

  • Veteran and Utah singer-songwriter Marv Hamilton stops by to talk about music's power to "Energize & Organize," the name of the song he played at a recent rally at the Utah State Capitol.

  • Today's the last day of World Music Therapy Week. RadioACTive talks with music therapists Emma Skaggs and Emily Polichette of the Utah Association of Music Therapists on the power of music to promote wellbeing.

  • April is National Poetry Month. RJ Walker returns with a new political poem and announces "Mayhem in the Mountains." Plus, Holton Lee and Carelyn Bee of Utah Poetry Slam.

    • April 25: SoulCity Open Mic, featuring RJ Walker, 7:00-10:00 p.m. at CityHome Collective, 645 E. South Temple, SLC. 

    • April 28: Salt City Slam, 7:00 p.m. at Mark of the Beastro, 666 S. State St., SLC. Poetry battle and an open mic for performers of all experience levels.
