Friday, May 1: Wondering what and when to plant this spring? KRCL's Punk Rock Farmer gets the goods from Red Butte Garden and Wasatch Community Gardens, both of which host their annual plant sales next weekend. Plus, the world premiere of Plan C, Skywatcher Leo T, and homegrown music from Nadezhda.
May 1-16: Plan C @ The Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. Playwright and former Utahn Andrea D. Peterson talks about the world premiere of her latest work. Loosely based on her own experiences and those of other women, the play explores the complexities of single parenthood, the confusion around women’s health, and the reality that one size doesn’t fit all in pregnancy, healthcare, or life.
Veteran journalist Skywatcher Leo T shares his love of the night sky, space news, and cultural stories of the stars. To share your skylore or ask questions, follow SkyWatcher Leo T on Facebook. Tonight: Watching spring unfold, enjoying the Earth, and skylore from Western Australia.
Next Saturday is a day gardeners dream of and plan for every year: Spring Plant Sale Day with both Wasatch Community Gardens and Red Butte Garden. Both nonprofit organizations drop by tonight with pro tips for the planting and care of the acclimatized vegetables, flowers, grasses, fruit trees, and bushes on offer. This is also your opportunity to pick the brains of some of the greenest thumbs along the Wasatch.
