Plus, Rock Camp is ready for another round of Slay Lake City, their camp for grown-ups that also supports summer music camp for kids.

Shell Yeah of Rock Camp SLC, a nonprofit empowering girls, transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive youth from all backgrounds through music education, collaboration, and performance.

  • Dec. 29: SLAY Lake City Showcase, 3:00-5:30 p.m. at The Commonwealth Room, 199 W. Commonwealth Ave., South Salt Lake. Event by Rock Camp SLC: "Rock Camp SLC is stoked to announce our annual camp for grown-ups, SLAY Lake City - a camp for women, transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive adults! These brave humans will learn their instruments, form bands, write original songs, and perform them at the showcase in less than 3 DAYS! Please join us at The Commonwealth Room to raise money for our summer youth programs, support these brave souls, and get inspired to conquer your own fears! Doors @ 3:00 p.m. Down Beat @ 4:00 p.m. $5 suggested donation. All Proceeds go to Rock Camp SLC Summer Youth Programming. ADA Accessibility - The Commonwealth Room venue is ADA accessible and Rock Camp SLC will be creating an ADA section on the floor near the front of the venue. Event by Crowdsourced Comedy: "Complete with IMPROV, STAND-UP, MUSICAL NUMBERS, AUDIENCE HIGHLIGHTS and moments for everyone on the naughty list. All are welcome to attend! Bring your friends, family and/or chosen family! This is the comedy extravaganza that you don’t want to miss."
