RadioACTive Pop! gathers nonprofit newsrooms - Utah News Dispatch, Utah Investigative Journalism Project, and The Salt Lake Tribune - to talk about what they do and how you can help. Homegrown Music from West High Choirs

Choir Director Andrea Hernandez brings more than 30 students to sing for us tonight. The West High Choirs is headed to Carnegie Hall in 2026, having been chosen as the featured choir for the World Strides National Youth Choir Festival in NYC in March

  • Dec. 4: A New Mural for Out of the Blue Info Session | 12 PM MST online. Guest: Amy Childress of the SLC Arts Council, which seeks to commission a Salt Lake County-based artist or artist-led team to design and install a new mural for Out of the Blue, a sculpture affectionately known as “The Whale.” Deadline to submit is Jan. 2, 2026, by 11:59 PM MST.   • Dec. 6: Women of the World Celebrates Success | 2 PM @ South Salt Lake Community Center, 2531 S 400 E, South Salt Lake. Founder Samira Harnish and WoW's Community Development Coordinator Camille Morgenstern share details of this annual event honoring the remarkable achievements of women on their journey to self-reliance. FREE and open to the public.

  • Dec. 11: West High Choirs Present Winter Concert & Auction | Doors @ 6 PM. Music @ 7 PM | West High Auditorium, 241 N 300 W, SLC. "Join us for our annual Winter Concert and Auction. Auction begins at 6, concert at 7. Bring the whole family and friends." Choir Alumni are invited on stage during the concert to sing a Christmas carol.
