  • June 19: Salt Lake Juneteenth Community Gathering & Celebration Walk, 10:00 a.m. at the Utah State Capitol, SLC. Event by Salt Lake Juneteenth: "The Celebration will kick off at 10:00 am with a Community Gathering at the Utah State Capitol, the Community Gathering program begins at 10:30 am and will feature inspiring messages from community leaders and elected officials. Following the program, community members will walk in unity to the Gateway arriving at noon to kick off the Community Celebration."

  • June 19: Stories of Pride: A LGBTQ+ Celebration of Community, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Church & State, 370 S. 300 E., SLC. "Please join us for a one-night-only LGBTQ+ celebration of storytelling and community! Hosted by Alexis Powell, the 90-minute show will feature Karin Anderson, Eli McCann, Manny Loley, Wynter Storm, Jamie White, and more. This show exists to celebrate queer joy, triumph, love, liberation, defiance, connection—and to reject the narrative that the LGBTQ+ experience is defined only through trauma. With this in mind, each storyteller has prepared a 5-7 minute story or reading on whatever topic they’d like. Tickets are $15 through Eventbrite, and code PRIDE gets you $5 off. The show is co-presented by Torrey House Press and Strangerville Live. The program is family-friendly-ish (we can’t promise your children won’t hear bible swears or euphemisms). Program runs at 1.5 hours. Looking forward to seeing you there!"

Kate Jarman Gates of Clever Cucumber Creative Co., a free community art studio for west Salt Lake City. With a grant from the Salt Lake City Arts Council, the nonprofit built six Free Art Shops—four on the city's west side, one downtown, and another in the Liberty Wells Neighborhood. Here's how it works:

  • Based on the concept of Little Free Libraries, Clever Cucumber's Free Art Shops are cabinets and shelves around the Salt Lake City community for finding and leaving free arts and crafts supplies. They help de-clutter art stashes, find affordable (free!) supplies for projects, and bring people together through art and generosity.

  • Visit a Free Art Shop any time, so long as the place it's located at is open. If there is room on the shelf, you may leave any arts and crafts supplies you don't want anymore. If you see any supplies you want to use, take them, for free! The only things that are NOT allowed are trash, broken or dirty items, hazardous materials, or items not related to arts and crafts. All ages, skills, and interests are invited to enjoy CCC's local Free Art Shops.

RadioACTive Pop! with Olivia Jaramillo and special guest Kat Kellermeyer of SLC-Pride, which will wrap Pride month with its first annual event later this month.

  • June 29-30: , 10a-7p at The Gateway, 18 S. Rio Grande St., SLC. Event by SLC Pride: "Transform Pride with Us!!
