A technicolor goth vampire of your nightmares and so much more. Plus, Wake the Lake and USANA Kids Eat Holiday Bag Project.
Tonight's show features the following people, organizations and/or events. Check them out and get plugged into your community!
Michelle Benedict of the USANA Kids Eat Program, which provides food for food-insecure kids from Ogden to Payson each weekend (when kids are not in school but don’t know where their next meal will come from). The problem is that schools’ two-week break for the holidays in December means Utah kids (and we’re talking 1 in 10) are left to figure out food for themselves.
USANA Kids Eat Holiday Bag Project provides two weeks’ worth of food for the kids for the holidays. They need families, individuals, clubs and businesses to sign up to help provide (shop, buy, pack, deliver) two-week holiday food bags for the kids. Registration opens Friday, Nov. 1, at usanakidseat.volunteermatters.org, but you can create a free volunteer account now.
Salt Lake City Arts Council's Andrew Shaw with artist Kellie Bornhoft. Hers is the first public art installation for the Wake the Great Salt Lake Public Art Project. For a sneak peek, click here. Find Kellie on IG: @kelliebornhoft
Cherry Poppins shares their story of Goth drag, Dragula, and growing up neurodiverse and nonbinary in Zion. You can catch Cherry Poppins the second Friday of the month in the AFAB-ulous show at Why Kiki, 69 W. 100 S., SLC, or the third Friday of the month at Area 51, 425 S. 400 W., SLC.
