Josh Lafazan reflects on the first anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack on the Supernova Sukkot Gathering, an open-air music festival during the Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret near kibbutz Re'im. First elected to office at age 18 as one of the youngest Jewish leaders in the United States, Lafazan is the grandson of a Holocaust refugee, with relatives actively serving in the IDF. He is the author of Political Gladiators: How Millennials Can Navigate the 21st Century Political Minefield and WIN.

  • Oct. 7: October 7th Commemoration, 5:30-7:00 p.m. on the south steps of the Utah Capitol Building, 350 N. State St., SLC. Event by United Jewish Federation of Utah: "The Utah Jewish community stands with Israel today, tomorrow, and always. Join us as we join together in solidarity to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the October 7th attack. Participants will include Jewish community leaders, along with other religious, political and community leaders, who will share messages of remembrance, togetherness and hope. Your presence will help bring comfort to all and will mean so much to us."

  • Nov. 7: Vibras del Lago November Cumbia Pop-Up at Alibi Bar & Place, 369 S. Main St. SLC. Venue is 21+.

  • Dec. 14: Vibras del Lago Cumbia Winter Formal, 9p-1a at Varley Lounge, 63 W. 100 S., SLC. "Get ready to dance the night away at the most anticipated event of the season.
