Wednesday, Nov. 15: Rainbow Law Clinic, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Under the Umbrella Bookstore. Hosted by Lauren Harvey with Rainbow Law Clinic: "Are you ready to take the next step towards aligning your legal documents with your true identity? Join us for a comprehensive Legal Name and Gender Marker Change Workshop specially designed for the trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer community."
Thursday, Nov. 16: LGBTQ Chamber Breakfast, 8:00-9:30 a.m. at South Salt Lake Community Opportunity Center, 2530 S. 500 E., SLC. "Featured speakers: Jacey Thornton, Project Rainbow Utah Executive Director, about Trans Week of Visibility and how we can all get involved; Leah Labato, Director of the Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities and Business Relations with the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation, on topics of accessibility & inclusion of people with disabilities in our businesses. These events are open to Chamber members & prospective members alike but seating is limited and we don't want to run out of coffee so, please register."
Friday, Nov. 17: Recycled Runway, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Neighborhood Hive, 2065 E. 2100 S., SLC. "Join us for November's Sip & Shop. Fashion show by @recycledrunwayslc, @djhitchhike will be giving us the jams and your favorite vendors will be in-house to take orders for the holidays. 21 years and older." Ticketed event. Sunday, November 19: TransFeastival, 1:00-6:00 p.m. at The Beehive, 666 S. State St., SLC. "An all-trans talent showcase for the LGBTQ+ community in celebration of trans awareness week. Just before we gather for the holidays, we've curated an event to bring together our chosen fam, make new friends, and enjoy the art and culture of our community with food and bev. It's been a long time coming and we're glad to be back. Bring your friends, loved ones, and little ones to experience what our culture is all about. Love. With music from bands: Shecock With A Vengeance, Somebody/Anybody, False Dykotomy, and musicians Zaza VanDyke, Adien Barrick, Nick & Aria, and Far Demetria. Drag and Burlesque performances hosted by Miss Gaye. Slam poetry from the likes of Enan Whitby and Lewis Figun Westbrook. Speech from Project Rainbow Director Jacey Grace.
