  • Nov. 4: Caretakers of our Musical Traditions, 9:30a-7:00p at Sorenson Unity Center 1383 S. 900 W., SLC. Event by Bomba Marilé, Isaias Alavez and Miriam Padilla Vargas: "Bomba Marilé invites you for a day of honoring our elders and our ancestors. We are thrilled to be having guest artists Jose Nuno Calderon Pou and Felipe Febres Rivera all the way from Puerto Rico. Thanks to the support of the Sorenson Unity Center, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, WESTAF, and the National Endowment of the Arts, the entire day is free and open to all. The entire day will be taking place at the Sorenson Unity Center."

Olivia Juarez of , a national non-profit of Latino leaders confronting national and local environmental issues in the Latino community. Juarez is a long-time environmental advocate based in Utah. 

Sisters and artists Jess Wiarda and Jace Lukenbill, who are working to rally attention for local makers this holiday season.
