It's LGBT History Month, and RadioACTive wants to thank Princess Kennedy for hosting tonight's special! She'll be back on November 13th with another special in recognition of Transgender Awareness Week and Transgender Day of Remembrance.
Jacey Thornton of Project Rainbow, which works to promote LGBTQ+ visibility throughout Utah and foster inclusivity in every corner of the state. The nonprofit stakes rainbow and transgender flags in observance of various events and holidays throughout the year. Next up: Trans Awareness Week and Trans Day of Remembrance 2023. Princess Kennedy, an advocate for all but especially the transgender community, talks queer Utah history with friend and historian Connell O'Donovan. They talk about their own work with ACT UP, Queer Nation, Utah Gay and Lesbian Youth (UGLY), and more, to acknowledge and celebrate Queer History in Utah.
