MAUI WILDFIRES: Visit Maui's KMNO – Mana’o Public Radio’s Maui Rapid Response site for the latest information on nonprofits on the ground supporting our Ohana as they start the long recovery and rebuild from the recent wildfires. The Maui Rapid Response site has the latest information on open shelters, where to receive or make food and clothing donations, road closures and more. Lauren To’omalati, Co-founder of Nuanua Collective and a local filmmaker of the short film, Snack (2023) "Lauren is Lead Programmer of the Māsima Film Tour and oversees programming of the Utah Pacific Island Film Series which has focused on showcasing and supporting the work of Pacific Island filmmakers." 

Cencira Te’o, local community advocate and PIK2AR Co-Founder + Pacific Island Chamber of Commerce, SBA Business Navigator. Utah Historical Society, Wasatch Community Gardens, and NeighborWorks Salt Lake, commissioned this mural to honor women who have shaped Salt Lake City’s westside neighborhoods. It stands in the Rose Park Community Garden at 871 N. Cornell Street. Cencira is one of the women highlighted in this beautiful work. Credit: Muralist Bill Louis
