MAUI WILDFIRES. Visit Maui's KMNO – Mana’o Public Radio’s Maui Rapid Response site for the latest information on nonprofits on the ground supporting our Ohana as they start the long recovery and rebuild from the recent wildfires. The Maui Rapid Response site has the latest information on open shelters, where to receive or make food and clothing donations, road closures and more. To locate missing loved ones, call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

Kaile Akina on , a fundraiser to help folks recovering from the wildfires that devastated the island earlier this month. It takes place this Saturday from 10a-1p at Trolley Square, 500-600 S. 700 E., SLC.

  • Sept. 2: UPIFS Hosting Acting Master Class with Uli Latukefu, 11a-3p at the University of Utah's Thanksgiving Point Campus, 2912 Executive Parkway, Lehi. "Uli Latukefu is an Australian actor of Tongan descent. Since graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Uli has made a name for himself through roles such as Byamba on the Netflix original series Marco Polo, Fritz in The Legend of Baron To’a, and is best known for his turn as a younger Dwayne Johnson in the NBC comedy Young Rock. He has quickly emerged as one of the trailblazers of Pasifika acting talent and a shining example of what you can accomplish with talent and perseverance to the Pacific Islander Community. This Acting Masterclass is for actors, aspiring and established alike, ages 12 and older. The fee for entry is $20. Register ASAP as space is limited.
