Candida Duran Taveras of Planned Parenthood Association of Utah, which will host its annual Community Care Block Party this Saturday, 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Jordan Park, 1060 S. 900 W., SLC. "There will be food trucks, an all ages drag show, live performances, lawn games, and a DJ dance party! This is a family-friendly event organized by the Utah Reproductive Roundtable."

Barbro Rakos of KZMU  in Moab joined via Zoom for a read of the temperature in Utah's red rock country. 

Citizen scientists spent their weekend mapping heat islands in the Salt Lake Valley. RadioACTive got a report from some of the folks involved:

The debut of Dispatches from Moscow, a three-part series in which RadioACTive Correspondent Tamrika Khvtisiashvili talks with Katya, a Muscovite who, with her family, left the city after Russia started its war in Ukraine.
