Folks from the upcoming Food Truck Faceoff, as well students and mentor from the REEL Stories 2023 program from Spy Hop Productions. Also, we have The Food Justice Coalition and Utah Crisis Food Response to talk about the current state of Food Insecurity in Utah.

Spy Hop Productions Film Mentor Loren Brunken, joined by two students on the upcoming REEL Stories premiere this Thursday at the Downtown SLC Library.

  • June 29: Spy Hop REEL Stories Premiere 2023, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Downtown Salt Lake City Library, 210 E. 400 S., SLC. "Join us for the premiere of 8 student documentary films! These students have worked intensively for 3 weeks to produce short films about the topics and issues they are passionate about. REEL Stories, Spy Hop Productions’ longest-running film class, opens up the world of filmmaking to teens who are interested in making a documentary on a topic that they are passionate about.  For almost all students, REEL Stories is their first experience making a film. The film screenings will conclude with a Q&A with the students and their mentor – so come hear what these students have to share!"

  • July 8: , 4:00-10:00 p.m. at Liberty Park. "Get ready for FOOD TRUCK FACE OFF! Do good while having fun at Utah’s LARGEST food truck rally for charity! The Food Truck Face Off brings together three wonderful nonprofits (Fourth Street Clinic, Utah Community Action & The Children's Center Utah) and dozens of Utah’s best food trucks in a friendly competition. This year we will have FOOD TRUCKS, LIVE MUSIC, A BEER GARDEN & A CHANCE TO WIN A TRAEGER GRILL!
