  • Salt Lake City Public Library’s HUM (Hear Utah Music) is a space celebrating Utah’s local music community. Free streaming access to a curated collection of local music is available to everyone, with downloads available to Salt Lake City Public Library cardholders. Through our frequent call for submissions, this collection will grow and change along with our music scene. Next open call for submissions coming in August!

  • GO: Stansbury Park Observatory Complex, 252 UT-138, Stansbury Park, UT 84074. The Stansbury Park Observatory Complex is an observatory operated by the Salt Lake Astronomical Society. It consists of the Harmons Observatory and the Donna Pease Wiggins Refractor House and is located in Stansbury Park, Utah. The complex is often referred to by its initials, SPOC. Brian Tonetti of Seven Canyons Trust, which needs your support for its latest efforts to daylight creeks in the city. 

  • June 24: Beer at the Confluence, 12:00-8:00 p.m. at Three Creeks Confluence, 1300 S. 900 W., SLC. Event by Seven Canyons TrustFisher Brewing Company and Jordan River Commission: "Celebrate success stories of stream daylighting in the Salt Lake Valley and learn about our special Three Creeks Confluence. All ages welcome! Enjoy classics and seasonal pours from Fisher Brewing. $1/pint will go towards maintenance and programming at the Confluence. The PickPockets will play their funky bluegrass jams from 5-8P. Paddle the river with the Jordan River Commission from 2-6P. Bomb Dilla will be serving up their delicious quesadillas and tots. KRCL History Project Debut: Barb Guy and Chris Rohrer, long-time KRCL volunteers and members, will lead KRCL's history project as we approach our 50th anniversary in 2029. They want your KRCL stuff — but this ain't no Swedish Death Cleaning Club.   • GO: The Sunday Farmer’s Market at Wheeler Farm began in 2011. The Market has grown into a well-loved community event with a wide variety of local vendors from local produce to handmade foods, goods and art. Hours: 9a-1p at Wheeler Farm, 6351 S. 900 E., SLC. Please note there is no ATM at the farm. Most, but not all, vendors will accept debit or credit cards. Admission to the market is free. Wheeler Sunday Market accepts SNAP and offers Double Up Food bucks. Please visit the Information Booth to run your EBT card and get set up with tokens.

Aldine's Urban Farm Report, featuring Katie Wagner of USU Extension, which provides research-based community education, resources and programs in the areas of agriculture and natural resources; business and community; food, health, and wellness; home, finance, and relationships; and 4-H and youth.

  • June 28: Urban & Small Farms Field Day at USU Botanical Center, 9a-2p at USU Botanical Center 920 S. 50 W., Kaysville. "We are excited to have an opportunity for in-person interaction that we have missed after holding the Urban and Small Farms Conference online. This Field Day is perfect for specialty crop producers engaged in direct marketing including CSAs, farmers markets and other outlets, as well as commercial growers that want to stay up-to-date with all of the latest agriculture research. See plant trials and demonstration gardens at the beautiful USU Botanical Center in Kaysville. Get hands-on and up-to-the-minute answers to your specialty crop and business questions.
