Friday, Sept. 12: Una taza mas as we celebrate the community gathering spot that Mestizo has been for over 17 years. It will be closing at the end of the month, so we need to discuss the future of the West Side, which may hinge on the ambitious Rio Grande Plan. Since playing the show in April, CHAC XOL has played a wind cave, Kilby Court, and several West Coast cities on their Flower Prince Tour. Tonight, they help us send off Mestizo Coffee House in style! Afterward, they're headed to Trolley Square to play The Bowie EXPERIENCE, A Magical Journey Through Music, Fashion and Entertainment, 7 PM @ Alliance Theater, Trolley Square, 602 E 500 S, SLC.

Every Friday, veteran journalist Skywatcher Leo T shares his love of the night sky, space news, and cultural stories of the stars. You can also hear a recap on Sundays at 6:55 & 10:55 AM and 2:55 PM.

Aldine's Urban Farm Report: Rose Park Bee Club

If you're looking for bees and bee lovers, KRCL's Punk Rock Farmer has a couple on the show tonight. They'll all be at the Day-Riverside Library next Saturday for . Alexanna Wonder and Angie Mock of the Rose Park Bee Club share their story and event details.

  • Sept. 20:  | 2-4 PM @ Day-Riverside Library, 1575 W 1000 N, SLC. FREE and open to the public. "Rose Park Bee Club, the Village Co Op, and other community members are sharing their garden abundance! Pick up honey and some veggies for free while supplies last."
