Tonight's show features the following people, organizations and/or events. Check them out and get plugged into your community!

RadioACTive’s Val MC talks with Utah Film Commission Director, Virginia Pearce about the end of an era with the Sundance Film Festival as Utah marks 100 years of filmmaking.

  • Utah Film Trail. Ready for a summer road trip that’s more than scenic—it’s cinematic. Utah has been a destination for filmmaking for over 100 years, with its diverse landscapes playing a starring role in some of Hollywood's most iconic productions. Now, the Utah Film Trail created by the Utah Film Commission in partnership with the Utah Office of Tourism invites film enthusiasts to experience these iconic landscapes firsthand, with physical markers scattered throughout the state paying homage to the films or television shows produced at that real-world location. The Utah Film Trail will bring visitors to the hideout of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” onto the set of the infamous car scene in “Thelma & Louise” and back to the nostalgia of 1962 featured in “The Sandlot.” Partners across the state will install additional markers through 2025. • Colorado's Governor Jared Polis joined state lawmakers, local officials in Boulder and folks from the Sundance Film Festival at an event in Boulder last Thursday to officially welcome Sundance to Boulder. Colorado State Representative Brianna Titone, a Democrat, is sponsoring a bill to offer tax incentives for Sundance and other film festivals. Titone, who is also the state’s first openly transgender lawmaker, says those incentives likely played a major role in the decision, but Colorado’s progressive policies were also a factor. Representative Titone spoke with Rocky Mountain Community Radio's Maeve Conran about her involvement in the process.
