SLTrib: Romance Out West: A local reader is bringing the first-ever romance book convention to Utah. Tickets to the convention — this Saturday from 12:00-6:00 p.m. at Mountain America Expo Center, 9575 S. State Street, Sandy — are available for purchase and cost $60.
SLTrib: 16 artists get a chance to shine at Delta Center as part of sports, arts collaboration.
Voices Amplified with rising journalists sharing stories of Women & Sports in Utah, a partnership between RadioACTive and Amplify Utah. Tonight: Student journalist Liliana Anderson introduces us to Sara Galica, QB of the Utah Falconz, the Beehive State's elite women's tackle football team that was 2016 & 2017 National Champions and 2022 WNFC Pacific Conference Champions.

Music Meets Activism with Felecia Maxfield-Barrett of Utah Global Diplomacy, a nonprofit whose mission is to build global connections between Utahns and folks from around the world one handshake at a time — despite federal budget cuts. The nonprofit is also preparing to host its first The Music Diplomacy Symposium: The Soundtrack of Community Building.
May 29: The Music Diplomacy Symposium: The Soundtrack of Community Peacebuilding, 8:30a-3p at Rose Wagner Center, 138 W. 300 S., SLC. Free & open to the public; lunch included. "Part of the Ambassador John Price & Marcia Price World Affairs Symposium Series, this event is a vibrant celebration of music’s unique ability to transcend language, culture, and borders, making it a vital tool in diplomacy and global connection. Attendees will gain a deeper appreciation for the role of music in shaping our world and leave inspired to use music as a force for unity and change.
