The Let Utah Vote coalition held a press conference today shining a light on what they say is lawmakers' attempt to cut off public access to ballot initiatives. They called for support in opposing H.J.R. 14 -- Proposal to Amend Utah Constitution - Statewide Initiatives (Rep. Kyle, J) and H.B. 284 -- Initiative Amendments (Rep. Kyle, J). Zach Frankel of Utah Rivers Council, which issued an alert late this afternoon about a $10 million appropriation for the proposed Cove Reservoir Dam on the East Fork of the Virgin River near Zion National Park.
