Val MC convenes an Indigenous Spirit Circle with Celia Moleni, LCSW. Take a Hike with Ashley Brown. Slamdance is back in Utah for the Unstoppable Summer Film Tour, highlighting films and filmmakers with disabilities. Then rounding it out with homegrown music from Die Shiny, the Utah band headlining The Dark Carnival: Army of Carnies.

  • June 13: The Dark Carnival Presents: The Army of Carnies, ft. Die Shiny, Fur Foxen, cake.wish | Doors @ 8 PM | Metro Music Hall, 615 W 100 S., SLC. Musician-activist Zaza Historia VanDyke shares details about the event, which she says is a space meant to amplify the voices and experiences of women, femmes, thems, the gays and anyone stepped on by the patriarchy. Focused on intersectionality, The Dark Carnival is meant to be a bridge between our very much needed communities. Slamdance, a year-round organization by filmmakers for filmmakers, announced today the lineup and dates for Slamdance Unstoppable: On The Road. Programmed exclusively by artists with visible and non-visible disabilities, the tour will expand the Slamdance Unstoppable programming into arthouse theaters across the U.S. – championing underrepresented voices and fostering accessibility and representation to new audiences across the country.

Indigenous Talking Circle

Celia Moleni LCSW and Maōri Elder Rangy Moleni hold space on tonight's show for a women led Indigenous spirituality discussion as we explore ways to connect with strength and higher knowing during changing times of oppression and search for truth. Celia's private practice is Manaaki Mental Health, "Manaaki" is the Maori word that embodies the essence of cherishing, conserving, and sustaining."
