  • Nov. 20: 4AM Vinyl Vol 2 Album Release Party feat. The Plastic Cherries and Mowth | Doors 7 PM, Music 8-11 PM @ Fisher Brewing Co. (21+), 320 W 800 S, SLC. Eddie Still of 4AM Vinyl, Rachel and Jordan Clark of Mowth, and Joe Maddock and Wayne Burdick of The Plastic Cherries share the new vinyl and details on the release party.  

  • Nov. 19: Utah Filmmaker Showcase: There Was, There was Not | 7 PM @ Utah Film Center, 375 W 400 N (west entrance), SLC. Local filmmaker Emily Mkrtichian reads us in on her film.

    • THERE WAS, THERE WAS NOT follows four women living in the Republic of Artsakh, an unrecognized country, reckoning with the aftermath of one war while on the precipice of another. In the midst of this uncertainty, four women build a life with the hope of making their home a better place. When war breaks out again, what began as an observational meditation on women’s roles after conflict becomes an urgent and intimate record of their lives interrupted once again by war. From taking up arms on the front lines to fleeing their homes as refugees, each woman’s life changes irrevocably. Their journey becomes the myth of a homeland lost forever, and the power of story to keep it alive.

  • Nov. 19: City Weekly's Annual Best of Utah edition hits the streets tomorrow. Publisher Pete Saltas gives us a sneak peek of the almanac of all things good in Utah. Over 450 categories of reader picks that showcase community favorites, alongside several dozen staff picks, from all corners of Utah.   • Nov. 20: ARC 2025 | 6-9 PM @ Spy Hop Rooftop, 208 W 900 S, SLC. Artists Billy Hennessy and Phoenix share the 7th annual Art for the Recovery Community evening of art, connection, and conversation. ARC is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served. Featuring work by local visual artists, painters, photographers, printmakers, poets, musicians, dancers, and more.
