Homegrown music from Sammy Brue as Aldine, KRCL's Punk Rock Farmer, is back in the studio to connect with the agrihood. Guests include Red Acre Center and Chef Shon, Utah's Farm to Fork and School Ambassadors programs, Sky Watcher Leo T, Sundance winners, and more.

Homegrown music from Sammy Brue, who will celebrate the music of Justin Townes Earle at a tribute concert next month. 

  • Feb. 28: A Tribute to Justin Townes Earle, 7:00 p.m. at The State Room, 638 S. State St., SLC. "A night of music and celebration honoring the life and legacy of Justin Townes Earle, featuring special guests and performances. Don't miss out on this unforgettable event!" Doors at 7PM. Show at 8PM. Venue is 21+.

#ManyCulturesOneSky with SkyWatcher Leo T, a RadioACTive volunteer and veteran broadcaster-turned-podcaster who shares his love of the night sky, cultural tales of the constellations, and more on #PunkRockFarmerFridays. 

Red Acre Center's Symbria & Sara Patterson and Chef Shon with a legislative update. The trio are getting ready for their annual outreach to state lawmakers with homegrown food from small farmers and ranchers in the state.

RadioACTive's Connor Estes shares the recently announced Sundance 2025 award-winning films. Some tickets are still available for in-person screenings. The festival goes until February 2nd. Find reporting and interviews of the fest from the Radioactive team.

  • Feb. 11: Utah Farm-to-Fork Ambassadors FAQ Meetup, 10:00-11:00 a.m. online. "Interested in getting involved with farm-to-school initiatives in your community? Join us to discover how you can become a Farm to Fork Ambassador! What You'll Do: Connect farmers, schools, and your community; Promote access to fresh, nutritious food and agricultural education; Tailor initiatives to highlight your region’s unique agricultural strengths. What to Expect: Write 2 blog posts per year about local farm-to-school highlights; Attend quarterly meetings to share updates and feedback; Distribute resources like flyers and posters in your community; and engage in outreach to promote events and campaigns. This voluntary role is your chance to make a meaningful impact within local farms, agriculture education, and child nutrition in your community. "
