Immigration Rights Community Organizer Briana Puga and youth organizer Cynthia Ponce-Orellana of Comunidades Unidas talk about the nonprofit's work protecting immigrant families amidst Executive Orders and anti-immigrant bills at the national and local levels.

  • "Know your rights. With or without immigration status you have constitutional rights to include: Remaining silent and not answering any questions when interacting with an immigration agent (Fifth Amendment), not giving consent to enter your home unless you have an order signed by a judge and with your name. Nor give permission to have your personal belongings checked (Fourth Amendment)."

  • "Conoce tus derechos. Con o sin estatus migratorio tienes derechos constitucionales que incluyen: permanecer en silencio y no contestar ninguna pregunta al interactuar con un agente de inmigracion (Quinta Enmienda), no dar consentimiento a entar a tu hogar a menos que se tenga una orden firmada por un juez y con tu nombre. Ni dar permiso a que te revisen tus objetos personales (Cuarta Enmienda)."

Once they came out against Amendment D and got it booted from the ballot, the Utah Education Association and its members have been waiting for the legislative shoe to drop. RadioACTive talks with teachers Amanda Sutton and Courtney Davis about being on state lawmakers' to-do lists.

The Natural History Museum of Utah will host its ninth-annual DinoFest, Jan. 25 & 26, when it will dive into the oceans, rivers, and streams during the age of dinosaurs. RadioACTive gets a preview with:

  • Carrie Levitt-Bussian, Collections Manager

  • Dr. Randy Irmis, Curator of Paleontology
