Denise Devynck of Utah Valley Permaculture Classroom Gardens & Greenhouse, 11a-4p at 851 E. Highcountry Dr., Orem. which teaches permaculture techniques and all about edible food forests where Nature is teaching the next generation sustainable methods of growing food and living.

Homegrown music from Whisperhawk, who's been making music since the early 2000s. He released Kosmos Burger in June, and he will release Flags West in October. RadioACTive shares a couple of songs from each and talks with Michael Gross, aka Whisperhawk.
Shell Yeah of Rock Camp SLC, a nonprofit that empowers girls, transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive youth from all backgrounds through music education, collaboration, and performance.

- Aug. 6-8: Rock Camp Gear Drive and Sale, 8a-4p at East Hollywood High, 2185 S. 3600 W., SLC. "Rock Camp SLC is celebrating their escape from storage units to having a more permanent space inside their favorite local media arts charter school on the West side, East Hollywood High School. We are looking forward to letting go of what no longer serves us, which means RAD gear! We also are encouraging folks to drop off their loved gear they no longer need, to contribute to our gear sale. All funds raised help pay for kids to come to camp. We are big believers in accessibility and will have a large amount of inventory that is 'Pay What You Can'. Amps, instruments, and merch will be available August 6th, 7th, and 8th from 2-4pm. East Hollywood staff will be on-site and giving tours upon request. Punk Rock Farmer Friday Fieldtrip: Lara Jones heads to the Natural History Museum of Utah to explore the invertebrates collection with Christy Bills, aka The Bug Lady. The museum's annual BUGfest is coming up and we've got tickets to giveaway tonight.
