Jeanette Padilla Vega of Food Justice Coalition, a volunteer-operated collective that creates food security and equitable food access through free, nutrient-dense, plant-based meals.
Aug. 16: Food Justice Coalition Community Dinner, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Frog Bench Farms, 2404 E. Blaine Ave., SLC. "Join us and others who are committed to uplifting our community for an intimate dinner held in a breathtaking setting—a private farm atop the East Bench where a vineyard and 3,000 square foot greenhouse are nestled within an unobstructed backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains. The evening will include a six-course, plant-based menu, zero-proof cocktails, live music, and meaningful conversation. All proceeds will benefit the Food Justice Coalition— a 501c3 nonprofit working to increase food security for Utahns facing hunger. The menu will be prepared by Chef and Founder of the Food Justice Coalition, Jeanette Padilla Vega. Together, we can increase food security for families and individuals by providing free, culturally competent, and dignified meals. Join us in our mission to eliminate hunger in Utah, one meal at a time." For tickets and info, click here.
