- Feb. 7: Black Bold & Brilliant presents The Holly, 7:00 p.m. at The City Library, 210 E. 400 S., SLC. Event by Utah Film Center and Amplify Utah: "Featuring a Q&A moderated by the BBB team with the film’s director, Julian Rubenstein, and participant, Terrance Roberts. Told from the perspective of former gang leader turned activist Roberts, the story centers on a controversial shooting that took place at a peace rally that Roberts himself organized. As Roberts stands trial for life in prison, Rubinstein’s investigation into the shooting cracks open a window into the complex and often problematic relationships that exist amongst gentrification and violence, communities of color, high-rolling developers, law enforcement, informants, and city hall."
