Get ready to rally for public lands, watch 928 directors' cut and gather for the first-of-its-kind reproductive rights summit in SLC -- all in SLC, all on the same day.

Grassroots activists are headed to the Utah State Capitol Building for Standing Together: Land Love & Hope, a rally for public lands.

Downwinder survivor and advocate Mary Dickson introduces us to the filmmakers Steve Jarvis and Kate Foselman behind: 

  • Jan. 10-11: Screenings of “928 The Threat Continues...,” an award-winning feature documentary by Steve Jarvis and Kate Foselman of Leftwood Pictures, tells the shocking in-depth story of nationwide contamination from radioactive fallout that rained down during heavy storms on communities and major cities for more than 40 years.  Jan. 10 at 3:00 at the Moot Courtroom in the Law School & Jan. 11 at 7:00 at the Leonard, 209 E. 500 S., SLC.

Kat Boyd, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Utah on the first-ever Reproductive Rights Summit this weekend. Joining her is PPAU's Shireen Ghorbani and field organizer Montsie Garrido.

  • Jan. 11: Reproductive Rights Summit, 9a-4p at Spy Hop Rooftop, 208 W. Harvey Milk Blvd., SLC. Event by Planned Parenthood Action Council of Utah and ACLU Utah: "Utah’s very first Reproductive Rights Summit! RSVP: bit.ly/reprosummitut. The Reproductive Rights Summit will provide every attendee with critical updates and advocacy tools to protect and expand our reproductive rights. By collaborating with local and national experts, this summit will teach you the latest hands-on skills—like deep canvassing—to become more effective advocates for reproductive freedom in your community. Sessions will include practical techniques for lobbying, testifying, engaging, and meeting with lawmakers; canvassing training; and how to talk about abortion.
