  • Oct. 17: Brotha 2 Brotha Networking Meetup & Photoshoot, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at 2501 Wall Ave., Ogden.   • Oct. 23: Let's Talk Suicide Awareness, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Marmalade Branch of The City Library, 280 W. 500 N., SLC. Event by Black Physicians of Utah and the Mental Wellness Alliance: "Join us for a critical discussion on suicide awareness, stigma, and prevention within the Black community. This event will feature a diverse panel of experts who will facilitate a meaningful dialogue on the increasing impact of suicide in the Black community." Free and open to all, but organizers request a RSVP.

  • Nov. 9 & 23: Doing the Work @ Aspire Counseling, 121 W. Election Rd. #110, Draper. Led by couples therapists and founders of Doing The Work Consulting, Greg Noel, LMFT, and Hannah Muetzelfeld, PhD.: "These evidence-based workshops are led by two couples therapists and designed to help individuals and couples create fulfilling and satisfying relationships." Deeda Seed of the Center for Biological Diversity with an update on the lawsuit filed late last month by environmental advocacy groups challenging the constitutionality of the makeup of the Utah Inland Port Authority. 

Plan-B Theatre Co. is gearing up for the world premiere of Full Color, a production in which 8 BIPOC actors speak the truths of their 8 BIPOC playwright counterparts, in a bold declaration that their experiences are not monolithic, dispelling stereotypes, and presenting the depth and breadth of BIPOC experiences here and now in Utah. Guests include: Jerry Rapier, artistic director, Plan-B Theatre Co.; playwrights Darryl Stamp and Iris Salazar; and actors Terence Johnson and Estephani Cerros.

  • Oct. 24-Nov. 10: Full Color, a world premiere by Tatiana Christian, Chris Curlett, Dee-Dee Darby-Duffin, Courtney Dilmore, Bijan J. Hosseini, Tito Livas, Iris Salazar, and Darryl Stamp. Featuring actors Talia Heiss, Alex Smith, Yolanda Stange, Abyanna Wood, Alec Kalled, Pedro Flores, Estephani, Cerros, and Terence Johnson. For tickets, click here.
