  • The Grateful Ball: A Benefit for KRCL with The Disco Chickens and Scotty & the Daylites | doors @ 7, music @ 8 | The Commonwealth Room, 195 W 2100 S Expy, South Salt Lake. "KRCL is grateful for our community of listeners and we want to celebrate 46 years of independent radio powered by you. Join us for the first-ever Grateful Ball: A Benefit for KRCL. Dance to live music from The Disco Chickens and Scotty & the Daylites with drinks, food trucks, a photo booth, and a liquid light show. All proceeds benefit KRCL, keeping community radio alive. Saturday, November 15:

  • Opening Day of Downtown SLC Winter Farmers Market | 10A-2P at 209 E 500 S, SLC. The Downtown Farmers Market is heading INDOORS—and into new territory! This season, the Winter Market will pop up inside the Civic Center (formerly The Leonardo Museum). Wander through 75+ local vendors of farm-fresh produce, artisan foods, and handmade goods! 

  • CHaRM Recycling Collection Event - Intermountain Medical Center | Murray | 9A-12P @  5300 S 100 W, Murray (specifically the Woodrow Parking Lot, located across the street from IMC on the southwest corner). "CHaRM stands for Collection of Hard to Recycle Materials. These pop-up events help residents repurpose and recycle materials that would otherwise be landfilled. Don't miss the opportunity to clean out those tough-to-recycle items from your home or garage! Just be sure to check the list of accepted items before you go. 

Thursday, November 20:

  • Diverted: Indigenous Stewardship and Saving Great Salt Lake |  7 PM at Utah Film Center, 375 W 400 N, SLC. Free and open to the public. Followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers. "Amid the ongoing ecological crisis facing Great Salt Lake, this film presents an urgent, inspiring perspective: Indigenous stewardship is key to restoring balance. The film, directed by Valene Peratrovich and produced by McCaulee Blackburn and Cristian Martinez, highlights interviews with leaders such as Darren and Brad Parry of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, Elizabeth Kronk Warner of the University of Utah, and activist Carl Moore. This film is part of Wake the Great Salt Lake, a public art initiative supported by the Salt Lake City Arts Council and the Mayor’s Office, dedicated to inspiring care, creativity, and action for the lake’s future."   • ARC: Art for the Recovery Community Seventh Annual Festival | 6-9 PM at the Spy Hop Rooftop, 208 W 900 S, SLC. ARC is an annual multidisciplinary art festival created to showcase and celebrate artists in recovery. The event opens at 6pm with a gallery exhibit featuring work by visual artists, painters, photographers, and more. An evening concert, starting at 7pm, will include performances by a lineup of talented local musicians, poets, and storytellers. We work to provide the local recovery community a place to come together to celebrate the beauty, strength, and joy found in the journey to recovery. At the same time, ARC aims to facilitate an opportunity for the wider community to experience and engage with a diverse, dynamic array of work. The event is free and open to the public!

  • Final day for submissions to SLCPL's Hear Utah Music (HUM) Collection for Native American Heritage Month. Julisa Olivera and Kyle Raines stop by with songs from the HUM Collection and talk about the current call for submissions highlighting Native and Indigenous Nations and voices in our area. This includes the land currently called Utah and any reservations along the border. The HUM call for submissions ends Nov. 30 and is open to recordings released in the last 10 years.   • Utah AIDS Foundation 40th Anniversary & World AIDS Day | 5:30-8:30 PM @ Rose Wagner Black Box, 138 W Broadway, SLC. "Celebrate our 40th anniversary and World AIDS Day. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and libations by LUX Catering. A short program that includes a preview of our newly commissioned documentary of our history, song and dance, and socializing with our community! This is a free, private, 21+ event. RSVP Required."

March 6-8, 2026: Save the Date for the GPC International Grower's Convention in SLC. The Big Show is coming to Utah in 2026! The annual convention that brings growers from around the world will be held in Utah for the first time. More info to come. More information TBD.
