Roundtable Tuesday has plenty for you to do in the community. World Pet Memorial Day with Operation Population. Plus, Our Sundays SLC's Juneteenth Jubilee and SLCC's Freedom Day Music Festival. And Father’s Day with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah.

Salt Lake Community College is celebrating Juneteenth with a Freedom Day Music Festival. SLCC's Jerri A. Harwell, Associate Professor of English, Linguistics, and Writing Studies, tells us all about it. 

  • June 20: JUNETEENTH Freedom Day Music Festival, 6:00-8:00 p.m., the east lawn behind the SLCC letters at SLCC Taylorsville Redwood Campus, 4600 S. Redwood Rd., SLC. "Let's celebrate JUNETEENTH! SLCC JUNETEENTH Freedom Day Music Festival will be an event with entertainment, performances, food and more! This event will take place on the east lawn of the Taylorsville Campus. Bring your blankets and camping chairs and join us on the lawn! FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC."

  • June 16: Juneteenth Jubilee Day Party, 11a-4p at Millcreek Commons, 1354 East Chambers Ave., Millcreek. "Join us for a day party featuring vibey music, soul food selections, and fun as we reflect on the past, enjoy the present, and cheers to the future. Tripp Hopkins of the Utah Blues Society, which hosts its annual music festival this weekend.

Father's Day is Sunday. But what if you don't have a father figure in your life? Carl Grimm of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah talks about the role BBBS mentors play in the lives of the nearly 1,000 youths the nonprofit serves each year.

Today is World Pet Memorial Day and June is Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month. Operation Population's Temma Martin and Merritt Rinard of Utah Pet Aquamation stop in to talk about all of it. And MJ the tuxedo cat from , a no-kill, volunteer, and foster-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to work with the community to help animals. MJ is a 4-month-old male cat, tuxedo markings, neutered, and available via CAWS.
