April is Move More Month, an initiative promoted by the American Heart Association to encourage physical activity and healthy habits. The folks from Sweet Streets share about their efforts to keep streets safe for cyclists and walkable for pedestrians. Author Ashley Lauren Brown, shares the best Spring hikes from her book, Urban Trails: Salt Lake City.

Sweet Streets is dedicated to changing land use and transportation policy to reduce car dependency and put people first.

  • EVENT: Saturday May 31, 2025 at 11:00am, Sweet Streets' 4th annual Bike/Walk SLC. This event will feature all-ages and all-abilities walking and cycling tours through some of Salt Lake City's best public spaces.

Author Ashley Lauren Brown, shares the best Spring hikes from her book, Urban Trails: Salt Lake City. "A love of wilderness and the call to stewardship influence every facet of Ashley's writing and recreating. It is in the quiet of wild places where she find wholeness. She relies on time rambling in the mountains for rejuvenation. She finds vision and drive while climbing cliffs and alpine routes or splitboarding the iconic Wasatch Mountains."
