Asi Slade and Freddy Laufouu of Utah Pacific Islander Health Coalition (UPIHC), which seeks to improve the quality of life for Pacific Islanders and the communities they live in throughout the state of Utah through health-promoting efforts including public health education, preventive wellness services, and health policy advocacy.

"Join us for a morning of light breakfast refreshments, raffle prizes, a costume contest, community resources, and an immunization clinic! The Pacific Health 5K offers an exciting opportunity for our vibrant Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities in Utah to prioritize their health and well-being. We aim to promote healthy lifestyles and build healthy communities one step at a time. We will have healthcare providers join us as you participate in the 5k to answer any questions about immunizations or well-child visits! We are students, cultural practitioners, community organizers, artists, cooks, cultural practitioners, healers, land-water stewards, curious, funny, fierce and grateful to be in community with the rivers, bees, birds, soil and you.
