In honor of Veterans Day, RadioACTive Volunteer Host Olivia Jaramillo talks about her 20-year military career. 

  • Born and raised in Mexico, Olivia's journey has taken her all over the country and all the way to Iraq, Europe, and humanitarian missions in Africa as an active-duty member of the United States Air Force. In 2016, Olivia made history as one of the first military members to legally change her name and gender marker while still on active duty. 

Jason Van Camp, co-founder and executive director of Warrior Rising. Founded in 2015, Warrior Rising is a non-profit started by Veterans, for Veterans. The goal: transform Veterans into Vetrepreneurs.

  • Nov. 22: Warrior Rising Presents Standup for Start-ups, Eccles Theater, SLC. Lobby events with Veteran-led start-ups at 5:30 p.m., followed by comedian Nate Bargatze at 7:00 p.m. "Join us for an exciting evening of veteran entrepreneurship and top-tier entertainment!
