KRCL's Fall Radiothon Is Here

Thank you for helping us reach our goal and raise $1,950, plus $1,000+ from Amanda Eiting’s Run for RadioACTive Challenge. That’s nearly $3,000 for community radio, and a matching microgrant for tonight's Challenge Match for Good partner, Red Butte Garden.

You can continue to donate throughout Fall Radiothon and help Red Butte Garden earn an even larger in-kind micro-grant. Be sure to use this unique link: https://bit.ly/KRCLredbutte

  • Red Butte's Mindy Wilson and Assistant Horticulture Director Crystal Kim talk about the Garden's 40-year history. It is one of the largest botanical gardens in the Intermountain West, a regional center for plant-focused science education, conservation and research, and cultural enrichment. As part of a state arboretum that encompasses the University of Utah campus, the Garden cultivates an essential urban forestland of about 2,000 trees in 456 different taxa.

  • Community-funded, the Garden is renowned for its diverse plant collections, themed gardens, and spectacular mountain setting, with almost 590,000 springtime blooming bulbs, award-winning horticulture-based educational programs, and an iconic outdoor summer concert series.

  • Sept. 26-27: Fall Bulb & Native Plant Sale | FRI 1-7 PM & SAT 9-3 PM | Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way, SLC

How the Challenge Match for Good Works

  • For every dollar you donate tonight during RadioACTive's challenge with Red Butte Garden, KRCL will match it with a microgrant for an equal amount of on-air, in-kind messages they may use to support their mission.

Why It Matters:

  • Double the Impact: Every dollar you give is matched with pro bono underwriting spots

  • Support Local Media: KRCL amplifies diverse voices and music

  • Strengthen Our Community: Help both organizations thrive

Whether you call or click, be sure to leave us a message about why you support community radio
